Meet Sherry

Sherry and Scott Hodges have been married for 47 years, they have four grown children and the additional blessing of five grandchildren.

Sherry’s love of country and patriotism is ingrained in the core of her being. Her grandfather was a lifer in the Navy, and her father served 20 years in the Navy. Her father started as a Frogman and retired as a Machinist Mate.

Sherry’s mother, Shirley, was a hardworking, loving mother holding down the home while her husband served long tours of duty throughout the world. Sherry’s oldest son, Jesse served four years in the Marine Corp. 

A born-again Christian, Sherry’s faith is her guiding light. The Hodges are active members of Concord Baptist Church where Scott serves on the security team and is active with the men’s fellowship building ramps to enable handicapped residents into their homes, and oil changes for widows and single moms. 

After Hurricane Helene Scott and Sherry made many trips to the mountains to bring clothes, food supplies, firewood, propane tanks and barbecues and numerous other items to those struggling. 

Protecting children and families has been a life-long passion for Sherry. She is committed to serving our community and helping to meet the needs of our community and serves as Vice-Chair of the Anderson County Foster Care Review Board.

Sherry served as Chair of Coalition Against the Anderson County Sales Tax Referendum. She worked to educate about the costs and implications of the proposed county wide sales tax. Thanks to the hard work of conservatives like Sherry, the referendum was overwhelmingly defeated, 78.8% to 21%. 

Sherry serves as an Executive Committee (EC) member of the Anderson County Republican Party (ACRP).   past Legislative Director for ACRP, as well as Legislative Director for the Anderson County Republican Women.and served as 2023 and 2025 SC Republican Party State Delegate.
